This online class will cover a set of proven and highly respected methodologies and tools focused on tackling waste and variability in processes, also known as Lean Six Sigma.

Rising costs, missed delivery deadlines, recurring quality issues and customer complaints are all typical challenges that any organization can face.

Through 10, half days of interactive online instruction, you will have the chance to become a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and an indispensable champion for continuous improvement in your organization. Your perception of your work processes, products/services, and clients will be transformed. Using powerful tools and methodologies, you will identify waste in a process, develop strategies to get to the root cause of problems, and learn to lead multidisciplinary teams.  By the end of the class, you will be able to create and implement lean six sigma solutions that will drastically improve the way you deliver value to your customers.

Attendance Policy

Any known issues with attendance should be brought to the instructor at the beginning of the program. While attendance is required for each of the days in order to achieve the certificate, we realize there may be unexpected (or previously planned) situations that may arise during the program. In most cases the classes will be recorded and you will be able to watch the class at your convenience. Missing more than 1 day of the entire program will result in an incomplete and therefore will not receive a certificate of completion.

 

Credential

To successfully complete this course, learners must:

  • Attend all 10 days of class (35 hours)
  • Achieve a passing grade (≥70%) in an online, 3 hours, open book certification exam to be completed in class (Students will have 3 attempts to achieve the required passing grade)

Council for Six Sigma 

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification by the University of Windsor Continuing Education & The Council for Six Sigma Certification.

University of Windsor Continuing Education is an accredited training provider by the “The Council for Six Sigma Certification”, the largest Six Sigma Accreditation body in the world. Our accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification program meets the rigorous requirements and standards in terms of the number of course completion hours, the breadth of coverage of the Lean Six Sigma body of knowledge and the testing/certification criteria.

Prerequisites

Minimum admission requirements include a successful completion of a secondary school diploma and English language proficiency. Verification may be requested.

 

Technical Requirements

This class is offered online through Brightspace and Microsoft Teams. Learners will require access to a computer with high-speed internet access.

Learning Management System Requirements

All course details can be accessed through Brightspace. A link will be provided through email to Brightspace and Microsoft Teams and you will have access the first day of class.

Program Fees

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification: $1650 + HST

Full refund 7 days before the start of the course, minus a $25.00 administration fee.  Please review our Registration and Refund Policies for more information.

You may be eligible for the Canada-Ontario Job Grant as a way to offset the cost.

 

OSAP-MC

  • This program is eligible for the OSAP Micro-credential application (OSAPMC).
  • Participants must be registered into the program prior to applying for OSAPMC.
  • Participants are obligated to pay their fees in full, at least 10 days before the class start date
    • If you wish to withdraw from the program, you must email your drop request to our team at continue@uwindsor.ca at least one week before the course start date to receive a full refund (less the $25.00 administrative fee)
  • Register for this program accordingly to allow ample time for your application to be processed. It takes approximately 10-15 business days for the OSAPMC application to be processed.

Nadir Jabur

Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CLSSMBB) and McGill Mechanical Engineering graduate with over 16 years of experience in the domain of Continuous Improvement. A passionate Sensei (coach) and teacher in the subject matter, he founded Master Sensei in 2020, a continuous improvement consultancy and professional certification company. He led numerous complex and strategic initiatives at several companies across North America, spanning a variety of industries such as aviation, e-commerce, construction, manufacturing, and logistics. In addition, he spearheaded the planning and deployment of operational excellence programs and trained/coached hundreds of lean six sigma students and design thinking practitioners.
